These are a few of my favorite Parkinson’s reads:

Perseverance: The Seven Skills You Need to Survive, Thrive, and Accomplish More Than You Ever Imagined by Tim Hague – review coming soon, great first chapter by the winner of Canada’s Amazing Race.  Hague was diagnosed with  YOPD at age 46 and won the race 3 years later.

Parkinson’s? You’re kidding me, right?: One woman’s unshakeable belief in overcoming a shaky diagnosis!  by Sheryl Jedlinski.  Jedlinski was one of the first PD blogs that I followed.  Always informative and a good read.

Natural Therapies for Parkinson’s Disease  by Dr. Laurie Mischley.  Dr. Mischley is a researcher at the forefront of alternative therapies for PD.  Highly recommended.

Brain Storms: The Race to Unlock the Mysteries of Parkinson’s Disease
by Jon Palferman.  Still my all-time favorite book about Parkinson’s

Parkinson’s Diva by Dr. Maria de Leon.  Fun, informative book for women with PD by Dr. Maria who was a Movement Disorders Specialist before she was diagnosed with YOPD.

Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist by Michael J Fox

Parkinson’s Treatment: 10 Secrets to a Happier Life: English Edition and  10 Breakthrough Therapies for Parkinson’s Disease: English Edition by Dr. Michael S. Okun

Goodbye Parkinson’s, Hello life!: The Gyro-Kinetic Method for Eliminating Symptoms and Reclaiming Your Good Health by Alex Kertin.  Keep on moving through dance and more.

Shake, Rattle & Roll With It: Living and Laughing with Parkinson’s by Vikki Claflin.  Humorous stories about living with PD.

2 Weeks To A Younger Brain: An Innovative Program for a Better Memory and Sharper Mind  by Gary Small, MD
